Existing Equipment included the TOA model SDB subwoofer.
In it's original design the SDB cabinet had an 1/4" input panel and a
internal crossover which had to be modified to fit our needs.

We wanted to keep the
original input panel intact
and available in the event
that the customer decided
to sell or trade them in
there original condition.
We first started by
removing the panel from
the cabinet

Once the panel was
removed, we attached the
original input panel to the
inside of the subwoofer
for safe keeping

Now that we have taken care of the original equipment, it is time to
modify it for our needs. We selected to use Neutrik NL-4 connections
on our cabinets. We only needed a 2-wire speaker line for the
subwoofer, but we wanted to also jumper our  full range main speaker
boxes from the subwoofer to reduce cable runs. To do this we used a
4-wire speaker line in conjunction with the Neutrik NL-4, as our primary
speaker feed to send 2 lines (positive and negative)  to the
subwoofers and 2 lines (positive and negative) to our main speakers.
Now we can use a short jumper to connect to the mains. To do this
we cut new panels to replace the original input panel and loaded it with
2- Neutrik NL-4 panel mount connectors. Also a terminal block and
new 14 ga. wiring to make our new connections.

Connections for
Subwoofers and
Mains

The NL-4 connections are wired (+1 and -1) for the mains. And (+2
and -2) are wired for the subwoofers. The panel mount connections on
the subwoofer are wired +1 and -1 jumpered between the two
connections and +2 and -2 feed signal to the speaker. The main
speaker are wired in the reverse order.
By doing this we are not limited to a specific speaker configuration or
patch point. In other words you can plug into any connection and the
speakers will recieve the proper signal source. This also works as well
if you happen to be in a small venue where subs are not needed, the
system does not require any special patching. Just plug the cable in
and enjoy.
